Since so many people are asking "What's this Camp Unger thing all about?" Here ya go.
The story goes something like this...
Alli and Seth met in college at Columbia U. in 1993. They were together for almost 12 years when they thought they should finally do something to commemorate their time together. They wanted to host a fun event for family and friends, but they didn't think a traditional wedding represented what their relationship was all about. That's where Camp Unger at the Jaff-Inn was born. A fun weekend away from city life, with all their favorite things...all-u-can-eat buffets, jam sessions, water sports and a 24-hour canteen featuring nostalgia candy and condoms.
So they rented some buses,
got the band back together,
and headed to Kent, Connecticut for a 3-day party that kicked off on July 22, 2005.
There were feasts,
color war,
a camp play,
a tv-game show,
a fully-stocked canteen,
and even a water skiing chicken who delivered the camp flag.
On the last day, Alli and Seth were married on a sunny Sunday morning.
the cutting of the world's largest S'more,
and a dive into the lake in full wedding attire,
everyone went home wondering when they'd ever again get to experience what the NY Post called the "Wedding of the Week".
So each year, on their anniversary weekend, Alli and Seth invite friends and family to come back to camp for another weekend away...
